Ducky took Mr. Snail’s fishing rod. He stood at the edge of the lake. He ruffled his feathers, and he cast the fishing line as far as it could go.

Ducky pulled, and pulled.

“Do you have a fish?” Mr. Snail asked in excitement. Froggy and Mr. Caterpillar looked on eagerly too.

Ducky kept pulling until...

WHOOMP!

Ducky fell to the ground. He could pull no more.

“Oh dear! My fishing rod is stuck in the reeds,” Mr. Snail said with a frown.

“I’m sorry,” Ducky said.

He felt even worse. But he knew he could not leave Froggy, Mr. Caterpillar and Mr. Snail’s things in the lake.

He would try even harder.

“I’m going to get your fishing rod unstuck. I promise,” Ducky said to Mr. Snail.
